The Una Mano Amiga Program develops initiatives to promote a new beginning in life for refugees and migrants living in São Paulo, preferably in the North Zone.

Based on listening to the refugee and migrant population, we seek to meet their perceived needs, providing welcoming spaces to strengthen family and community ties, learning the Portuguese language, preparing for the job market through secure employment and entrepreneurship, and initiatives that ensure means of integration and knowledge of Brazilian culture in order to guarantee equality of rights and duties established in Brazilian laws that provide access to education, culture, health, social assistance, work, legal assistance, and security.
