Walking Flight

Walking Flight

Worn shoes in her hands, a backpack on her shoulders carrying what remains of her home. Many roads still lie ahead until she finds a new place to call home.

A bird crosses her face and makes her part of the flight—just like them, she too migrates. In its beak, a small branch: echoes of Noah’s dove that announced a new beginning after the flood.

Even after long journeys, there is solid ground, there is a place, there is a future.

The artwork “Walking Flight” speaks of the pain of exile, dignity, resilience, and the hope that accompanies every step of migration.
